Your home from home

The Hutch is a new build holiday cottage within the grounds of our own house. We built it over the summer of 2017 based on what we look for in holiday accommodation (style and substance), and therefore hope you won't be lacking in anything. It was recently redecorated during Autumn 2020.

Within 5-10 drive is a small McColls shop and Tesco Express can be found in St Thomas, or a large Sainsburys in Alphington on the outskirts of Exeter. A milk vending machine has recently opened in Longdown itself, we therefore provide you with a reusable glass bottle of local milk and if you need anymore feel free to top up the bottle yourself! Our well regarded local pub, The Lamb, is just a 3 min walk down the hill from your door. Excellent quality food which is locally sourced wherever possible. Booking recommended.

Your outside space
  • French doors lead out of the living area onto a purpose built wooden deck terrace. From this elevated position you look over our garden onto the surrounding fields. A Weber charcoal BBQ and dining table and chairs are there to be enjoyed day or evening.

  • We have also added outdoor seating in front of The Hutch as this catches the afternoon sun.

  • Parking for one car is right outside your door. This parking area is shared with The Burrow and we recommend where possible you back down the drive. Parking for The Hutch is on the left hand (wall) side as you come down the drive.
